Reception of the public
The general public may be received at the BCL in different contexts:
Groups of visitors
In principle, the general public is not granted access to the other buildings of the BCL. However, groups of visitors are welcome to attend a presentation at the BCL upon prior registration (see below). Presentations are offered to groups of 15 to 25 people on Thursdays (from 6pm to 8pm) and Fridays (from 2:30pm to 4:30pm). The presentations can be given in French, Luxembourgish or English (Thursdays) or French or English (Fridays) depending on the group’s preference.
Visit of the numismatic center
The numismatic center of the BCL, located at 43 avenue Monterey (ground floor), is open to the general public from 10:30am to 04:00pm from Monday to Friday.
Educational presentations
The BCL also organises educational presentations for groups of high school or university students accompanied by their teachers. These presentations are delivered in French or English and are, to the extent possible, tailored to the needs of the group (duration, topics, level).
