Q&A regarding recruitment

The BCL is looking for various profiles and competencies in relation to its missions: Economists, lawyers, accountants, auditors, administrative assistants, IT, risk analyst or other profiles.

Your application is assessed in terms of background, motivation, education and experience. The BCL appreciates double diplomas or PhD.

The BCL does not restrict the number of applications per candidate. Each time you apply for a position at BCL, you will receive an immediate confirmation email acknowledging that your application has been received and is made available to the recruiter.

There are several major phases foreseen in the process:
• a first assessment on the basis of diploma, professional experience and motivation;
• a physical interview with Human resources and the stakeholders;
• a test customized to the job role (optional);
• a personality test;
• an interview with the Executive Board of the BCL.

Recruiters normally receive a large number of applications and handle all applications in a timely manner.
Please note that the selection process may take some time depending on the number of applications received and the complexity of the positions to fill. 

Employees who fulfill the required conditions are hired under the status of state employees. Their status follows the regime of state employees as applicable at the BCL. Applicants should fill the following conditions:
a) Nationality of one of the European Union Member States,
b) Full possession of civil and political rights,
c) Appropriate moral standards,
d) Conditions of aptitude required for the exercise of the function,
e) Adequate knowledge of the three administrative languages as defined by the law of 24 February 1984 related to the regime of languages, except for positions, to be determined by a Grand-Ducal regulation, for which the knowledge of one of these languages is not considered necessary because of the nature and level of responsibility of these jobs.

Employees who do not meet the conditions listed above are recruited under a status of private employee; their contract is governed by the law of 24 May 1989 related to the employment contract.
