Processing of personal data by the BCL

The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) attaches great importance to the protection of personal data (hereinafter "personal data") that it collects and processes. The purpose of this document is to inform you of the personal data collected on the bcl.lu website and of the manner in which that data is processed by the BCL.

1. What personal data is collected and for what purpose?

The bcl.lu website is an informative website. The documentation and information on this site are intended to inform the visitor/reader about the organisation, missions and activities of the BCL. The BCL does not collect any personal data through its website. The only information collected is related to the number of visits to the site, the duration of each visit and possibly the number of downloads of documents made available to visitors. 2. To whom is your personal data transmitted and for what purpose?

Data regarding visits is collected and processed by the BCL. It is not communicated or shared with any third party.

 

3. How long do we keep your personal data?

The BCL keeps certain data relating to the number of visits to its site for 14 months after the visit. After this period, the data is deleted.

 

4. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

Your rights concerning your personal data are:

  • The right to information: You have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal data, in particular which types of data are processed, by whom and for what purpose.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: If the BCL has not been able to ensure that your rights are respected, you may lodge a complaint either with the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (www.cnpd.lu) if you are resident in Luxembourg, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence if you are resident outside Luxembourg.
