Presentation of the collector coin dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Mudam and other new numismatic products
On Wednesday 29 June 2016, Mr Serge Kolb, Executive Director of the BCL, hosted the official presentation of the new collector coin dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Mudam) in presence of Mr Enrico Lunghi, Director general of the Mudam.

This Nordic gold and silver collector coin dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the museum is the first bimetallic and bicolour coin denominated in euro to be minted in a square shape with two adjacent concave sides and two convex sides. The edition is limited to 2,500 units. This coin has been minted in “Proof” quality by the Mint of Poland. Each blister is individually numbered. The selling price is 55 euros.
This coin will be on sale as from 7 July 2016 at the counters of the BCL’s numismatic centre located at 43, avenue Monterey, L-2163 Luxembourg, while stocks last.
From the same day and at the same location the following numismatic products will also be available:
- the official 2016 Luxembourg Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) set dedicated to the city of Schifflange. It contains one coin of each denomination and the 2 euro commemorative coin ”50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge”. The edition is limited to 6,000 units. The BU set’s selling price is 30 euros;
- the “5 series” kit contains 5 coins of each denomination from the 2016 manufacture year, as well as 5 units of the 2 euro commemorative coin “50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge”. The selling price is 45 euros.
