Announcement related to VP Lux Closure
VP Securities, the Danish CSD (central securities depository) announced officially on 8 March 2018 its intention to close VP Lux, a Luxembourg CSD owned by VP Securities. As a result, the securities issued in VP Lux, eligible as collateral for Eurosystem credit operations, will be transferred to VP Securities.
The effective transfer of securities will take place on 09 November 2018.
The securities, by then held in VP Securities (as the new issuer-CSD), will remain eligible as collateral for Eurosystem credit operations and will be able to be held by Eurosystem counterparties participating in these operations, via eligible links to VP Securities A/S (Denmark).[1] Currently, Clearstream Banking S.A. (CBL), Clearstream Banking A.G. (CBF) and Euroclear Bank hold eligible links to VP Securities A/S (Denmark).
